Protecting ecologically important ecosystems requires long-term dedication. When you make a monthly commitment to EPI through our Conservation Club, EPI scientists, students, and field staff can remain focused on critical conservation priorities.

When you become a monthly donor to EPI, you’ll automatically receive a subscription to EPI’s semi-annual newsletter and invitations to special EPI events. You’ll also help EPI reduce fundraising expenses by eliminating the need to send paper reminders to renew your donation.

Conservation Club Commitments

Madre Perla Mollusk — $10: Like the layers that form a pearl, your $10 monthly gift grows enough in a year to support the community education and outreach activities that our participants spearhead after their EPI course, taking what they have learned back to their communities. With your generous support to purchase materials, students will create educational murals, set up information tables at regional fairs, visit grade schools to give presentations, and much more. Beautiful!

Leatherback Sea Turtle – $25: Dig deep like a nesting leatherback, and help secure the future of this critically endangered species. By giving just $25 a month, you can ensure that hundreds of leatherback eggs remain in the sand to hatch, safe from poachers, encroaching tides, and other threats.

Field Researcher – $35: Ok, not an endangered species, but we need your help to send our student researchers into the field to learn about and protect threatened species and habitats. Your $35 monthly donation provides a full scholarship for two Costa Rican high school students to share the transformative experience of participating in EPI’s Sea Turtle Ecology Program.

Galapagos Tortoise – $50: Living on average more than 150 years, surviving on cactus, inhabiting volcanic islands hundreds of miles from the mainland, Galapagos tortoises are a symbol of endurance. Your $50 contribution each month funds the eradication of invasive species by our youth participants to restore habitat for these living legends – an enduring legacy for the namesake of the Galapagos archipelago.

Blue Whale – $100: Your $100 monthly gift sponsors a day of whale research in the Sea of Cortez, for 10 students to collect the data that will lead to the first and only marine sanctuary in Mexico for the largest animal on the planet.

Conservation Champion – $250: Become a champion to save endangered wildlife! When you give $250 or more per month, you’ll be sponsoring an entire school group — 15 students and 2 teachers — from a local Latin American school who will become part of the conservation solution. You’ll also receive special Conservation Champion benefits that include:
