Financial Aid

EPI recognizes that the cost of our field programs is significant. We attempt to make the courses affordable for all accepted students, regardless of their financial circumstances. And by offering direct financial aid to our participants, we hope to attract students from a wide range of economic, ethnic, and geographic backgrounds.

All of EPI’s financial aid is need-based; that is, it is only awarded to those participants who cannot otherwise afford the full cost of the experience. EPI will grant no more than one-half of the course tuition; in all cases, we expect that the participant and/or their family will take responsibility for at least half of the course tuition.

The vast majority of EPI’s financial aid awards go to local residents who live within or adjacent to the ecosystems where our project sites are located.

  • Parents and students are expected to cover the cost of tuition to the extent they are able.
  • Late applications may not receive full consideration.
