“I haven’t met a local student who doesn’t see the world a little bit differently, after participating in an EPI program. For some, like me, it changes the course of a life.”Alum Finds Calling in Costa Rica
Eleanor’s time with EPI was unforgettable. So unforgettable that she visited and worked at the Pacuare Nature Reserve in Costa Rica for six seasons and participated in three EPI programs. Each experience made her view the world just a little differently. She continually returned to Pacuare not just because she loved working to save leatherback sea turtles, but because she hopes to spark that kind of transformation in other students. Although these tasks are sometimes daunting, Eleanor has witnessed that through changing lives, one at a time, one day patrolling beaches to protect sea turtles will no longer be necessary.
