Ike Wallace

"Pre-Costa Rica, I am not sure I had a total grasp on conservation and the state of the world. I gained a new grasp for conservation…the animals there, here… all of the trash, pollution… directly impacts the animals and the world. I think I will probably carry this entire trip with me all of my life... what we're doing is making an impact."

Student Acquires New Awareness

Ike has participated in EPI’s Costa Rica program twice, and recently completed the Yellowstone program.

His first experience with EPI connected him with the world in a way he had never experienced. Late night turtle patrols exposed him to amazing animals that come out at night; seeing first-hand the effects of pollution motivated him to recycle; and making friends from around the world inspired Ike to continue exploring, while working to make a difference.
