“EPI has opened my eyes to the vastness of the world and the human impact upon it. It has shown me the problems of the world as well as the tools to fix it.”EPI Participant Seeks Change Locally and Abroad
Raven Dryden, a student from Montana, loves to experience new things. Through EPI’s Montana and Costa Rica programs, Raven gained insight and confidence on how to be a steward for the environment. She also was inspired to learn more about her home state. “We (humans) have the biggest impact on our land here in Montana and it is important to protect the environment that we enjoy.”
Raven has a positive outlook for the potential for change. She sees that together, there are solutions to the global problems that we face. Her experience with EPI exposed her to the incredible bonds and friendships that can be forged through working towards a common goal. “While doing research and living in close quarters with people, you learn to communicate and trust in each other to fulfill a role. Both the Montana and the Costa Rica courses made me want to share my experience with others and encourage others to change.”
