Five Reasons to Donate
- Innovation – No one else does what we do! EPI is the only organization that provides experiential education programs with a focus on local residents and applied science. More than 2/3 of our participants live within or adjacent to these delicate habitats and threatened ecosystems.
- Sustainable Conservation Impact – We involve local and visiting participants in real science that results in increased environmental protection. Our programs focus on biodiversity hot spots where students learn about and help protect threatened species and habitats. Because we work with local populations, their resultant connectedness to their own land becomes a lifelong interest in its careful stewardship.
- Collaboration – Our programs are developed as peer-to-peer collaborations. This approach makes EPI incredibly unique. International peers come together to exchange what they have learned, and understand their similarities and differences.
- Youth leadership – We encourage participants to take their experience beyond the field site. We do this by inserting leadership, team building and empowerment activities during and after our courses that foster individual stewardship.
- Individual transformation – Our programs leave a powerful impact in the minds, hearts and actions of our students. We provide the skills, motivation, and mentorship to empower youth to take an active role in international conservation.
