Science Education
for a Brighter Future

At Ecology Project International (EPI), we engage local communities in youth development, leadership, and habitat conservation, and we run world-class, science-focused travel programs for students and teachers. Together, we're building a brighter, more sustainable future.

Student-based group travel programs featuring hands-on research in Costa Rica, Belize, Galapagos Islands, Mexico, and Yellowstone.

Ecology Project International is a nonprofit.

Our mission is to inspire youth with nature and empower them with science, fostering tomorrow's leaders. We envision a diverse movement building communities that cherish and restore the ecosystems that sustain them.

Liven up your classroom walls with the animals of Costa Rica’s Pacuare Reserve –a working research station tucked away in dense tropical forest along the Caribbean Sea.

Pacuare Reserve and the surrounding canals are rich in wildlife, with more than 300 recorded species of animals. This poster highlights just a few of these animals and was designed by a high school student from Missoula, Montana.

"EPI helped me realize the direct impact of science. When working with scientists on my trips, we would always find ways to give back to the communities and made sure that they were always involved."
