The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) have put focus on the actual practices of science and engineering in the classroom. Finding and working with a local scientist is one way to accomplish this, but we know that can seem daunting. We share some ideas on how to do this from our EPI Hawaii Program Coordinator, Megan Edgar.

The Galapagos Islands were made famous by scientists who investigated theories of change, but new, more rapid changes are coming to the islands. Few places offer such an intimate view of an ecosystem's dramatic response to a changing climate. Ecology Project International students play a critical role in studying and helping to protect these climate-threatened species and habitats in the Galapagos Islands.
