Trent Baker

Attorney, Datsopoulos MacDonald & Lind P.C.

Attorney Trent Baker was inspired to join the EPI Board as a result of his longtime friendship with co-founders Scott Pankratz and Julie Osborn. As a passionate conservation and river advocate, he is especially motivated by EPI’s mission of connecting youth to nature, science and each other, which he sees as essential to our future.

Trent brings expertise with legal and corporate matters to the EPI Board as well as a wide range of experience garnered from his volunteer work with non-profit organizations focused on sustainability. He helped found and continues to lead Brennan’s Wave, a nonprofit focused on rehabilitating dangerous irrigation diversions into multiple-use structures that are better for fish, boaters, and the community. He is also involved with the Milltown Redevelopment Group, guiding redevelopment efforts after removal of the Milltown dam on the Clark Fork River, and serves on the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ River Recreation Advisory for Tomorrow Committee, which recommended policies governing recreational and commercial use of western Montana rivers. Within all his volunteer roles and during his downtime and family life, Trent embodies and advocates for EPI’s core values of connection with nature and experiential learning. He especially enjoys biking, skiing, hiking and boating with his wife and two daughters in Montana’s beautiful mountains and rivers.
