Empowering Belizean Youth Through Hands-On Science
Students in the Belize Marine Ecology Program study the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System first hand! This course for Belizean youth blends wildlife research, conservation service, exploration of conservation issues, and science coursework with games, snorkeling, and boating. You can expect to see colorful marine life and study manatees and seagrasses with real scientists.
You'll be led by Ecology Project International field instructors. Our instructors are incredible individuals with impressive experience in biological research, natural history, field, and formal education, and group risk management.
The science skills you learn and the experiences you have with EPI Belize will prepare you to become a conservation leader and a voice for fragile ecosystems. We hope you take your experience home and lead by example at home or at school.
