Our approach to education lets students engage with the environment first-hand and allows them to conceptualize from their own experiences. Our students actively participate in authentic conservation and research activities that protect threatened species or habitat and create their own science research project while on course, allowing them to answer their own questions about Belizean ecology: why it is important and why we should protect it from damage? Our curriculum is interdisciplinary, tying every piece of the human experience together to show that the environment, economy, and society are all interdependent.
