John Kamman

Managing Director

With EPI since 2010, John has been involved in everything from developing and launching new field programs to creating important integrated systems like the automatic reminder to Missoula staff to jump in the nearby river when temperatures get above 90 degrees. His belief in the importance of engaging local communities and youth through science brought him to EPI, where he has enjoyed his work growing the organization for more than ten years.

Prior to his time at EPI, John spent his days as a biology instructor, a field guide, a sea turtle biologist, and a student of the nonprofit world. Whether he’s sailing the coast of British Columbia, navigating the Boundary Waters in a handmade canoe, or exploring the mountains of Montana with his mandolin in tow, John’s always up for a nature-based adventure.
