Miles Knotek

Field Experience Coordinator

Miles is from the small town of Moose Pass, Alaska. He has a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, with a focus in science education, and is a certified teacher in Montana. Miles has a diverse teaching background, from ski instructor to hiking guide to environmental educator in the Tetons. He values the perspectives he gains from each new work experience. The opportunity to support the work of staff and students in five countries is exciting to him, and he truly believes in the transformative power of engaging youth in our wild spaces. Moving quickly through the mountains on foot, whether in running shoes or on skies, is most appealing to him. Growing up, his family hunted, and his connection to public lands and wildlife is still central to him today. He also enjoys volunteering on trail projects and maintenance days.
