Heidi Boogs
Director of Finance and Administration
Heidi is a lifelong Missoula resident who values the community, natural beauty, and outdoor lifestyle of western Montana. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and her MBA in 2020, and has spent the past twenty years in leadership roles at the University of Montana directing personnel and fiscal affairs, the last fourteen focused on grants and restricted funds management. She helped grow a highly successful research center of excellence by securing funding with faculty, developing strong financial systems, and ensuring compliance across complex funding portfolios.
Heidi has been excited about EPI's work for many years, and its mission of bringing together youth education, conservation, research, and community engagement closely aligns with her values.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping, gardening, traveling, and walking her dogs, and she especially loves spending time in Yellowstone National Park each year. Above all, she values time with her husband and their three adult children.
