Lorayne Meltzer

Lorayne is passionate about working at the community level to co-create solutions to complex issues facing our oceans and coastal communities. As the Executive Director of the Prescott College Kino Bay Center, Lorayne has been an experiential educator and marine conservation practitioner in the Gulf of California, Mexico for over 25 years.

Lorayne collaborates to develop strategies that integrate science, education, community, and communication toward the development of healthy human and ecological coastal and marine ecosystems.

She was attracted to join EPI's board because of her strong belief in the power of multi-cultural field-based educational experiences to inspire and prepare the next generation of problem solvers and leaders. In many ways, the activities and mission of EPI and the Prescott College Kino Bay Center are similar; Lorayne looks forward to applying her experience within the EPI context.
