Founded as a nonprofit organization in 2001, Ecology Project International creates positive long-term environmental impacts through its science education programs, conservation initiatives, and engagement with local communities and partners.

Our Mission

EPI's mission is to inspire and empower the world's youth through immersive experiences with nature and science. We envision environmentally literate communities creating a vibrant, sustainable future.

Our Model

EPI's is structured for sustainability. Drawing on tuition dollars from our Travel Programs, the generosity of donors, and the efforts of scientists, we run programs that address environmental issues today, while developing environmental leaders for tomorrow.

Our Method

All of EPI's education programs utilize conservation projects, partnerships with scientists, and engagement with local communities to teach three key components
