In the field, you're free to explore, inquire, and investigate your curiosities. Expeditionary Learning

Rustic field sites & remote locales: they're essential parts of an EPI program. In field-based education, learning is filled with life and teachable moments are everywhere.

Scientist Partners

EPI partners with world-class scientists and scientific institutions at all of its program sites, but students aren't here for lectures. They'll assist in on-going research on critically threatened wildlife and ecosystems.

 Community Engagement

At EPI, we believe that all education, even science education, takes place within a cultural context. Cultural exchange is an essential element of our programs. We all have something to learn from one another.

Think Outside
 the Classroom

Outdoor, field-based education is the ideal laboratory for learning. It's a place of freedom, curiosity, and inquiry.

 

Field science, like EPI's programs, expose students to the possibility of research outside of the confines of a classroom or a laboratory.
