Making

Field Research a Reality

For more than 20 years, EPI has helped countless teachers and student realize their dream of traveling to remote locales and working on real scientific projects.  With a well-developed process and our dedicated Field Experience Coordinators, EPI makes travel easy.

How it works

EPI works closely with teachers and administrators on every step of the process. Here's how we make your travel dreams a reality:

Planning & Alignment

Our Field Experience Coordinators will work with you to:

  • See if EPI is a good fit. What are your dreams and goals for a travel program?

  • Select the right field site and duration

  • Find dates that work for your schedule

  • Create a proposal for administrators

Recruitment & Enrollment Support

Next, our coordinators will:

  • Provide online and hardcopy materials to capture student interest

  • Plan and attend parent meetings, virtually

  • Handle all paperwork and payment, or create a system that works for you

  • Once six students are enrolled--or nine for the Galapagos--your course is confirmed

Pre-Departure Prep

Before heading into the field, we will:

  • Coordinate a call with on-site instructors & staff

  • Provide packing lists and handbooks to students

  • Send a pre-departure packet with itineraries, contact info, and t-shirts
