Conservation Leadership Programs

Montana Summer Opportunities

Are you a high school student passionate about science, the outdoors, and conservation?

Apply to EPI’s Conservation Leadership Programs in Montana, immersive summer courses where you will gain hands on research experience, contribute to real conservation work, and build leadership skills alongside professional scientists.

This year we are also launching the brand new Paradise Valley Conservation Leadership Initiative (PVI)!

Both programs require an application and selection process.

BWI

Bitterroot Wildlife Internship (BWI)

A four week immersive research experience created through a partnership between EPI and MPG Ranch, a long term conservation property and research station in western Montana. Participants develop strong scientific skills, gain confidence in the field, and grow as environmental leaders as they dedicate meaningful time to their own independent research projects.

PVI

Paradise Valley Conservation Leadership Initiative (PVI)

This brand new program combines conservation centered learning, ecological restoration projects, and immersive field research to develop emerging leaders and strengthen community connections in Paradise Valley. Students dive into outdoor experiences, hands on stewardship work, and place based lessons in restoration and land management, gaining skills that prepare them to make a real impact.
