
Julieta Sandoval
México Instructor
Julieta is a marine biologist originally from Guanajuato, Mexico. She arrived in La Paz, Baja California Sur in 2010 to pursue her undergraduate degree, and the beauty of Baja captured her so completely that she made it her permanent home.
Since 2014 she has worked in the trophic ecology of pinnipeds, which has taken her to remarkable places such as Isla Guadalupe and the San Benito Archipelago. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and a Master's degree in Marine Resource Management, and has authored five articles in scientific journals as well as a book chapter contribution.
She currently volunteers at MMWRC, where she has gained extensive experience in the handling and rehabilitation of sea turtles and marine mammals, and also participates as an instructor in workshops and courses focused on marine conservation.
In her free time, Julieta enjoys going to the beach, running outdoors, and knitting.
