Patricia Perles Ivars
Costa Rica Instructor
Previously a Research Assistant at Pacuare Reserve and a scientific adviser for EPI Costa Rica's Biociencia alumni science event, Patricia is excited to join our instructor team!
She's seen first hand how EPI students return home and become conservation leaders at their schools and communities, and is looking forward to having an even more powerful impact as an instructor. She has a degree in biology and has worked in Costa Rica and Panama with sea turtles, tropical forests, and environmental education.
She was also awarded a prestigious internship with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to explore how land use patterns affects hydrology. When she's not working in conservation, she's upcycling whatever falls into her hands for her small business that creates homemade products reusing materials.
