Patty Xcaret  was born in Mexico City and currently lives in La Paz, Baja California Sur.

She is a Marine Biologist with expertise in monitoring and field techniques, certified as a reef monitor and PADI Open Water diver, and .and a certified Wilderness First Responder. 

She has conducted reef monitoring of invertebrates and fish in Parque Nacional Archipiélago de Espíritu Santo in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and has over 1.5 years of experience as a field technician with Shark Research México, where she trained and supervised international volunteers and supported field expeditions in monitoring protocols and data collection.

EPI has always been an organization she has looked up to, and being part of it — contributing her knowledge while planting the seed of conservation in young people — makes her very happy.

In her free time, Xcaret enjoys going to the gym, diving, the cinema, hiking with her dogs, and spending time at the beach with friends.
