David Schimelpfenig

A native of Wyoming, Dave worked as an outdoor educator for ten years in Alaska, Wyoming, and Mexico with the National Outdoor Leadership School (now NOLS). His field teaching experience is complemented by a Master’s Degree in Ecology and stints as a wetland and water quality field researcher in the Rocky Mountains. He is currently EPI's Program Operations Manager, stationed out of La Paz, Mexico. When not working, he enjoys exploring Baja's wild mountains, deserts, and coastlines. Dave loves that only at EPI can he combine his passion for outdoor education with science and conservation.
