Joy Olson
Philanthropy Coordinator
Joy is originally from a rural town in North Dakota and has been living in Missoula, MT for the past 10 years.
She holds a degree in Strategic Communications from North Dakota State University and has more than eight years of experience in digital advertising, giving her a strong foundation in data analysis, project management, strategic communication, and storytelling. She has learned how to take complex data, identify what matters, and turn it into clear, meaningful insights and stories, and she brings experience improving workflows and managing multiple projects and priorities.
Joy is excited to join EPI because it brings together so many things she cares about: conservation, wildlife, education, and creating meaningful connections with the natural world. Growing up in rural North Dakota, she developed an appreciation for the outdoors and a strong love of animals, and has always enjoyed learning about wildlife and wild places. She's excited to apply those skills in a mission-driven environment where the work she supports can contribute to conservation and a healthier future for generations to come.
In her free time, Joy enjoys reading, playing board games, gardening, and knitting. She also likes to take advantage of the local rivers and lakes by taking her dog out on the paddleboard or kayak.
