Mariano Barrantes
Costa Rica Program Manager
Mariano Barrantes is a professional in biology, natural resources management and projects administration. During his career he has had the opportunity to lead projects related to biodiversity conservation, sustainability and climate change adaptation, both in protected areas and productive landscapes. He has worked in partnership with international organizations, NGOs and government, developing projects aligned with global commitments. He also has extensive experience in teaching and environmental education in Costa Rica.
He currently serves as Program Manager for Costa Rica at Ecology Project International (EPI), where he supports the implementation of educational experiences in conservation, strengthening local partnerships and promoting field learning.
