
Nicholas Vidargas
Nick Vidargas is an environmental attorney with nearly 20 years of experience working in government and the nonprofit sector, an avid outdoor adventurer, and passionate advocate for experiential education. A graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School, Nick was trained as a marine ecologist before shifting to environmental policy and law driven by a desire to translate science into action, which he sees echoed in the EPI goal to use science to effect meaningful change in the world. Nick has been an Assistant Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency since 2015 and works primarily on large, complex Superfund cleanups in the Pacific Northwest, including the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Eastern Washington and the Lower Duwamish Waterway in Seattle, as well as environmental justice and civil rights work. A native of Mexico and the Midwest, he and his family live in rural Northern California surrounded by redwoods.
