Ángel grew up in La Paz, Baja California Sur, where his connection with nature began in childhood—exploring beaches, trails, and arroyos. Later, while studying Marine Biology (UABCS) and training under the NOM-09 standard, he realized his passion for the environment extended beyond science: he wanted to share, educate, and conserve.

Specializing in fossil echinoderms, Ángel discovered the power of inspiration while teaching children at an environmental education organization. There, he saw how sparking curiosity could transform how people value their surroundings. As a nature tourism guide and educator at EPI (since 2024), he merges fieldwork expertise with a mission: to help every student—whether visitor or local—recognize their relationship with the ecosystem and take action to protect it.

Ángel believes respect for nature spreads through transformative experiences. Inspired by his family and mentors like Mario and Diego, he works to empower communities to appreciate the value of their environment and unite in its care.
