Kirsten is a passionate bilingual naturalist with over seven years of experience as a non-formal environmental educator and outdoor recreation guide. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and spent a year studying abroad in an immersion program in Santiago, Chile. 

Kirsten enjoys backpacking, reading science fiction, and identifying plants. She is currently learning French and has attempted the Pacific Crest Trail, with hopes to complete many more thru-hikes in the future.
