Mia is excited to join the Yellowstone Field Instructor team this winter, as she loves connecting students to nature, conducting research, data collection, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She recently graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Statistical Science.

She was born and raised in Oakland, and has spent most of her life in California, so she’s looking forward to the change of scenery. In her free time, she enjoys backpacking, surfing, enjoying live music, taking day trips and road trips, and hanging out with her dog and snake. She is always seeking new ways to explore and appreciate the outdoors.

She looks forward to growing as a teacher, exploring her new home, getting more familiar with Yellowstone, and meeting new coworkers and students.
