Sam Sharp is an environmental educator and writer from Ohio. Before coming to EPI, Sam led backcountry courses with Outward Bound, taught environmental studies at the University of Wyoming, and, most recently, led college-level field courses with the Wild Rockies Field Institute in Montana. Sam’s passion for education stems from great teachers throughout his own life: most notably, his dog. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing and Environment & Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming, where he studied nonfiction writing and indigenous led bison restoration. His favorite animal is a turkey vulture, and he currently lives in Missoula, Montana.
