Dayana Calderón

Costa Rica Instructor

Meet Dayana Calderón, our passionate Costa Rica Instructor, whose journey encompasses a deep connection with sea turtles and a commitment to experiential education.

Born in Cartago and currently residing in San Jose, Dayana earned her bachelor's degree from UCR in 2015. Her journey into the world of environmental conservation began in Tortuguero, where she joined the research assistants crew during the green turtle season with the STC.

Her professional path unfolded at Outward Bound Costa Rica, marking her first official job. Subsequently, she embraced the role of mentor and local director at Global Leadership Adventures for the past two years, further honing her skills in experiential education.

Dayana is thrilled to return to working closely with sea turtles, a profound passion in her life. She looks forward to sharing this enthusiasm with like-minded individuals who share a keen interest in marine conservation. When not immersed in her work, Dayana enjoys spending time with her pets, cycling, listening to music, reading, and embarking on hiking adventures.
