Fernanda González Davis

Logistics and Campus Coordinator

Fernanda is originally from La Paz, Baja California Sur. During her childhood and adolescence, she lived in Guerrero Negro, a small salt-mining town in the north of the peninsula, home to the largest salt exporter in the world. At the age of 18, she returned to La Paz to continue her studies and begin her professional life, a city where she currently resides.

She holds a technical degree in Human Resources Management and a second professional degree in Education Sciences. Throughout her career, she has worked as a teacher at the basic and upper secondary education levels, teaching subjects such as Financial Accounting, Business Administration, Spanish, Civic and Ethical Education, and Natural Sciences. By vocation, she has also focused part of her work on private tutoring, supporting students who require additional assistance beyond the traditional education system, thereby strengthening her commitment to a more inclusive and contextualized education.

Her connection with Ecology Project International began during her participation as a research intern, an experience that allowed her to closely observe the organization’s educational work with students and to connect deeply with EPI’s mission. She later joined the EPI Mexico staff, motivated by being part of a team that promotes place-based learning, the development of socio-emotional skills, and the creation of safe spaces for learning.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as developing artistic skills such as painting, poetry, dance, and music. She plays instruments including the bass, guitar, and drums, and finds camping and beach exploration to be among her favorite activities. In addition, she has received national recognition for her work in defending the rights of children, following an investigation presented before the Chamber of Deputies, an experience that reaffirmed her commitment to education and social justice.
