Emil Grinage

Belize Instructor

Emil, a native of Corozal Town, Corozal, BZ, currently calls San Ignacio, Cayo, BZ home. Armed with a B.S. in Environmental Science from Galen University, Emil brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as an EPI Belize Instructor. His commitment to safety and expertise is reflected in certifications for Swift Water Rescue, Wilderness First Aid, Water Treatment Plant Operation, and Small Water Systems Management.

Emil's journey with EPI began in 2016 when he served as a field instructor during the early years of the Belize Program. Over the following four years, he taught Belize Marine Ecology Courses, showcasing his dedication to environmental education. Holding a Belize Tourism Board license as a tour guide, Emil combines his love for education with a passion for sharing the natural beauty and biodiversity of Belize with others.

Eager to return to EPI, Emil expresses a genuine excitement for the opportunity to once again engage young minds in the wonders of Belize. He sees environmental literacy as a special calling and a means to guide the education of sustainable behavior.

Emil's interests extend beyond the classroom, as he actively participates in education and outreach programs in the buffering communities surrounding Belize's National Parks. His love for the outdoors is evident in his enjoyment of visiting National Parks, particularly those with waterfalls. Emil's expertise shines as he guides tours to both terrestrial and marine ecosystems, providing a unique and enriching experience for those under his guidance.
