Science Education

for a Brighter Future

At Ecology Project International (EPI), we engage local communities in youth development, leadership, and habitat conservation, and we run world-class, science-focused travel programs for students and teachers. Together, we're building a brighter, more sustainable future.

Student-based group travel programs featuring hands-on research in Costa Rica, Belize, Galapagos Islands, Mexico, and Yellowstone.

Did you know the Gulf of California is home to more than 800 species of fish and 2,000 invertebrates, as well as 39% of the world's marine mammals? Overfishing and climate change threaten to reduce the biodiversity of what Cousteau called, "the world's aquarium," but EPI students are helping to protect this stunning landscape above and below the surface of the water.

Use your classroom wall space to inspire and inform your students about biodiversity, fisheries, and challenges in the Gulf of California—and how they can help!

Ecology Project International is a nonprofit.

Our mission is to inspire youth with nature and empower them with science, fostering tomorrow's leaders. We envision a diverse movement building communities that cherish and restore the ecosystems that sustain them.

"EPI helped me realize the direct impact of science. When working with scientists on my trips, we would always find ways to give back to the communities and made sure that they were always involved."
